Day at the Capital went great! Koin 6 news was there and aired their coverage friday at 5pm and 6pm. The web address I have added is of Emily is a mother who's daugther fell from their 2nd story window a year ago friday. She shares her story and shares the same hope that by speaking out it will help prevent this from happening to another family.

Ashley, I've invited friends and family to support your campaign of awareness. I applaud your courage to convert pain and loss into action and prevention.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be amazing if window manufacturers made a simple window design that opened from the top down, rather than the bottom up? Perhaps this could be pursued legislatively?
When we started this we actually wanted to start with legislative action but found that we need the support of the state first and get people educated. Which we are in the process of doing now. Manufacturers have started to come out with a window stop built into their windows, not allowing them to open more than 4". Which is great! We are hearing of more and more companies doing this. Jeld-wen and Mercer have done so and are a part of our task force.
